Choice paralysis can be dangerous in the world of power tools. By categorizing vital tools into organized purpose-driven kits, we simplified the selection process, giving both new and seasoned users a reliable path to the right tool.
My Role
On the Product team, I focused on special projects as a product designer and project manager, overseeing this project end-to-end. My roll was to develop products and bring them to market as quick as possible, requiring me to wear to wear multiple hats to drive projects progress.
My responsibilities included:

The Problem
End mills are specialized drill bits used by CNCs, like Shaper Origin. They are vital precision cutting tools, each with a specific use case (like a chef's knife collection). Users were bogged down ingesting the technical complexities of these tools. This created a major friction point for users through choice paralysis.
